CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 87-057
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AN ALPAR GRANT AND
APPROPRIATING THE FUNDS FOR LITTER CONTROL
WHEREAS, the city of Seward has received a grant
totalling $2500 from Alaskans for Litter Prevention and
Recycling (ALPAR) for the purpose of hiring local teenagers
to perform litter control and city beautification; and
WHEREAS, this program will be organized and adminis-
tered by the city Parks and Recreation Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
accept a grant from ALPAR totalling $2500 and to appropriate
said funds into the Teen Litter Control Project Account No.
215000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
