CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 95-093
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING ALASKA STATE
GRANT FUNDS AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
and
WHEREAS, the Alaska State Library provides grants to qualified municipalities each year;
WHEREAS, these grants provide funding for the purchase of library materials and equipment
as well as support library service to special groups within our community; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to accept these grant funds and set the grant budgets;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY mE CITY COUNCIL OF mE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City of Seward hereby accepts the Public Library Assistance Grant for FY
1996 in the amount of $6,890.00 and appropriates these funds from State Project Funds, Account
No. 114-4680-0200, to the Public Library Fund as follows:

Section 2. The City of Seward hereby accepts the Institutional Services Grant for Spring
Creek Correctional Center in the amount of $6,000.00 and appropriates these funds from State
Project Funds, Account No. 113-4680-0200, to the Prison Library Fund as follows:

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
