CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 87-060
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO THE STREET
DEPARTMENT AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR PAVEMENT
REPAIR WITHIN THE CITY (DSR 3404)
WHEREAS, the city of
October 1986 which resulted

fy this damage and did not include it in a Disaster Survey
Report; and
WHEREAS, it is unlikely that the city will obtain a
commitment for funding for this project from FEMA in time to
award a repair contract this construction season; and
WHEREAS, Harley Trucking, Inc., has submitted a bid for
restoration of pavement at other locations within the city
which will be fully funded by FEMA; and
WHEREAS, Harley Trucking, Inc., has included in its bid
repair of the Jefferson Street pavement; and
WHEREAS, repairs to Jefferson Street pavement will cost
approximately $20,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
appropriate the sum of Twenty Thousand and no/lOOths Dollars
($20,000) to the Street Department Account No. 131-532 for
the purpose of repairing Jefferson Street pavement.
Section 2. The City Manager is further authorized to
enter into a contract with Harley Trucking, Inc., for
pavement repairs at several locations within the city for an
amount not to exceed Twenty-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Eight
and no/100ths Dollars ($29,608).

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
