CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 87-080
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO THE PARKS
AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT BUDGET TO FUND THE
COMMUNITY SWIM PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the city desires to work with the local school
officials to develop a program which would open the school
pool for community use; and
WHEREAS, this community swim program will provide 3
hours of swim instruction per day for elementary and high
school students; and
WHEREAS, the pool will be available for public use for
several hours each day and will be available for use by the
Tsunami Swim Club daily; and
WHEREAS, user fees will offset the city's contribution
to the community swim program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized to
appropriate the sum of $13,000 from the General Fund Fund
Balance Account No. 101-000-271-00-00 to the Parks and
Recreation Department Swim Program Account No. 101-117-517-
19-56.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
