CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 87-089
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE RESTORATION
OF TRANSMISSION LINE ACCESS ROAD (DSR 73976)
WHEREAS, a request for bids to restore the transmission
line access road was publicly advertised on September 10,
1987; and
WHEREAS, the work consisted of repairing damage sus-
tained during the October 1986 flood; and
WHEREAS,

WHEREAS, three bids were received in accordance with
the bid proposal as advertised; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder was Seward Construction Ser-
vices with a bid of $14,791 for the basic restoration and
$16,808 for the alternate; and
WHEREAS, the basic bid would

WHEREAS, funds for the project are available from state
and federal emergency funds, DSR No. 73976;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with Seward Construction Services in
an amount not to exceed $16,808 to restore the transmission
line access road as specified in the alternate bid.
Section 2. The city manager is further authorized to
establish a project account from state and federal emergency
funds, DSR #73976, in the amount of $18,488, which includes
a ten percent (10%) project contingency.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
