CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-004
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
TWO SENTINEL SAMPLER SYSTEMS WITHOUT FULL UTILIZATION
OF CITY BID PROCEDURES
WHEREAS, EPA
effluent samplers
Creek Correctional
regulations require that influent and
be placed on either side of the Spring
Center sewage treatment pond; and
WHEREAS, only one supplier was available to provide
samplers to match existing equipment at the Seward plant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. It is in the public interest to waive the
bid procedures set forth in Section 10-8 of the Seward City
Code and to purchase the samplers for the Spring Creek
Correctional Center sewage treatment pond by sole source
contract.
Section 2. The city manager is hereby authorized to
purchase two sentinel sampler systems from N-Con Systems
Company for a total cost of $10,250.00 plus freight.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.

SEWARD, ALASKA, this LLUL day of January , 19~.
