CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-014
A RESOL TION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, LASKA, APPROPRIATING $100,000 FROM THE
GENERAL FUN FUND BALANCE FOR DESIGN AND PREPARATION
OF C TRACT DOCUMENTS FOR PHASE I OF
THE OSPITAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the St te of Alaska has approved a Certificate
of Need for a new Sew rd hospital; and
WHEREAS, the stat Legislature and Governor are prepar-
ing a construction jobs bill which is expected to appropri-
ate funds to Seward for ite preparation and construction of
foundations of the hospit 1; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. An amount not to excee $100,000 is hereby
appropriated from the General Fund Fund alance Account No.
101-000-271-00-00 to the Hospital Con truction project
Account No. 205000 for Phase I architectur 1 and engineering
services.
Section 2. The city manager is author~ ed to proceed
with Phase I by negotiating a contract for arc itectural and
engineering services with an architect qualifie and able to
perform Phase I design and is further authoriz d to adver-
tise and award contracts for Phase I constructio .

Section 3. The preceding authorizations in ections 1
and 2 of this resolution are contingent upon the state of
Alaska appropriating not less than $500,000 for hase I
construction. \
