CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-028
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A PICKUP
TRUCK FOR THE HARBOR DEPARTMENT WITHOUT FULL UTILIZATION
OF CITY BID PROCEDURES
WHEREAS, the Public Works Superintendent has recommend-
ed that the Harbor Department replace its 1978 Dodge pickup
truck; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Harbor Reserve
Account for the purchase of a replacement pickup truck; and
WHEREAS, price quotes were solicited by the Harbor
Department for a 1/2 ton pickup truck from five area deal-
ers; and
WHEREAS, Hutchings Chevrolet submitted the low bid of
$10,070.85;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. It is in the public interest to waive bid
procedures for the purchase of a pickup truck for the Harbor
Department.
Section 2. The city manager is hereby authorized to
appropriate the sum of $10,070.85 from the Harbor Reserve
Fund Account to the FY 1988 Harbor budget.
Section 3. The city manager is further authorized to
issue a purchase order to Hutchings Chevrolet for the
purchase of a 1/2 ton pickup truck for an amount not to
exceed $10,070.85.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
