CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-038
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH ARNETT TESTING LABORATORY FOR SUB-
STATION MAINTENANCE TESTING
WHEREAS, the city of Seward owns eight power transform-
ers which are integral to the distribution of electricity;
and
WHEREAS, seven other electrical utilities in the state
of Alaska have contracted with Arnett Testing Laboratory to
perform substation transformer testing; and
WHEREAS, entering into an agreement with Arnett Testing
Laboratory at this time will result in a cost savings to the
city since the company's mobilization and demobilization
costs to and from Alaska will be shared by the various
utilities under contract for testing; and
WHEREAS, professional service

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city manager is authorized to execute a
professional services contract with Arnett Testing Laborato-
ry for a total project amount not to exceed $11,649 for
substation maintenance testing.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
