CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-039
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, SUPPORTING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A TOLL ROAD TO CORDOVA
WHEREAS, there is currently no road to Cordova; and
WHEREAS, the residents of Cordova very much want to be
connected by a road to other points in the state; and
WHEREAS, a
development and

WHEREAS, the availability of both state and federal
funding for road construction has decreased; and
WHEREAS, the state of Alaska has authority to construct
and maintain toll roads;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Governor is respectfully requested to
direct the Department of Transportation and Public Facil-
ities to construct a toll road to Cordova.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, this 11 day of April , 19 88 .
