CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-044
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING AN EXCHANGE OF CITY
AND BOROUGH LANDS
WHEREAS, the city of Seward has land available for use
as school property; and
WHEREAS, the Kenai Peninsula Borough has lands avail-
able to trade for said proposed school development; and
WHEREAS, the city of Seward is desirous of acquiring
borough lands for flood control work and future industrial
development; and
WHEREAS, the lands are
appraisal accomplished by
Assessor and the appraisal

of similar value based on an

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized to
execute such documents as may be necessary to effect the
transfer of the following city-owned real property to the
Kenai Peninsula Borough:
Lot 8A, Fort Raymond Subdivision Replat
No.1 (t18 acres); and
Lot 1, Jesse Lee Heights Subdivision
Addition No.2 (t7,500 sq. ft.).
Section 2. The city manager is further authorized to
simultaneously accept deeds for the following described real
property to be acquired from the Kenai Peninsula Borough:
Lot 1, U.S. Survey No. 3294
acres); and
(H.33
Alaska State Land Survey No. 76-69
(Seward Plat No. 77-8), excepting there-
from Fourth of July Creek Tracts A-E
(Seward Plat No. 84-6) and Spring Creek
Correctional Facility Site, Parcel A
(Seward Plat No. 84-12) (t1,560.68
acres).

RESOLUTION NO. 88-044
Section 3. The Kenai Peninsula Borough Assessor's
valuation is determined to be a fair market representation
of all the parcels involved, and thus the City Council finds
it to be in the public interest to waive the City Code
requirement that the properties be appraised.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect thirty
(30) days after passage and posting as required by law.

SEWARD, ALASKA, this 25 day of April , 19 88 .
