CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-057
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING ELECTRIC RATES BY REDUCING
THE CUSTOMER CHARGE FOR ALL LEVELS OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, Section 22.6 of the Seward City Code requires
that utility service rates and charges be fixed by resolu-
tion; and
WHEREAS, an across the board reduction in the customer
charge for electric utility customers will more equitably
spread the cost of operating the utility; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council to reduce
the burden currently shouldered by residential consumers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. City of Seward Resolution No. 87-048 is
hereby amended by making a $2.50 reduction in the customer
charge for all levels of service. The amended customer
charges shall read as follows:
GROUP CUSTOMER CHARGE
INSIDE CITY OUTSIDE CITY
Residential $ 15.40 $ 17.19
Small General Service
(Less than 50KW) 33.75 42.99
Large General Service
(Greater than 50KW) 33.75 42.99
Street Lights 33.75
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect July 1,
1988.
