CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-058
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A
BRAKE LATHE FOR THE CITY SHOP WITHOUT FULL
UTILIZATION OF CITY BID PROCEDURES
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 1988 City Shop budget included
funds for the purchase of a brake lathe; and
WHEREAS, the City Shop requested price quotes from
several vendors within the state of Alaska; and
WHEREAS, three firms responded to the request for
quotes; and
WHEREAS, B & C Supply of Anchorage was the low bidder
with a quote of $6,624.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The public interest would best be served by
waiving formal bid procedures for the purchase of a brake
lathe for the City Shop.
Section 2. The city manager is authorized to issue a
purchase order to B & C Supply in an amount not to exceed
$6,624.00 for the purchase of a brake lathe for the City
Shop.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
