CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-064
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, IN HONOR OF THE TWENTY-FIFTH
ANNIVERSARY OF THE STATE MARINE HIGHWAY SYSTEM
WITH SPECIAL RECOGNITION OF THE M/V TUSTUMENA
WHEREAS, the Alaska Marine Highway System is celebrat-
ing its twenty-fifth anniversary; and
WHEREAS, State Ferry System is a vital link in the
state's transportation network; and
WHEREAS, the city of Seward is proud to be the homeport
of the M/V Tustumena; and
WHEREAS, the city wishes to recognize the contributions
the Tustumena and its crew have made to the city of Seward;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Alaska Marine Highway System is to be
commended for its twenty-five years of service to the state
of Alaska.
Section 2. On behalf of the citizens of Seward, the
City Council pays tribute to the M/V Tustumena and extends
to its captain and crew the best wishes of the city.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, this ~ day of May , 19 88 .
