RESOLUTION NO. 95-107
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ESTABLISHING FEES FOR
FIRE INSPECTIONS
WHEREAS, the Fire Department inspects in excess of200 occupancies each year; and
WHEREAS, these inspections require considerable personnel hours for the actual
inspections, record keeping, training, updates and plan reviews; and
WHEREAS, the proposed inspection fees would offset a portion of the direct and indirect
costs associated with the inspection program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Fire inspection fees are hereby established as follows:
Permitted lodging sites ............................................ $ 25.00
Trailer parks, camper parks, employee campgrounds ..................... $ 25.00
All other inspections:
First hour or portion thereof ............................ $ 50.00
Each additional one-half hour ...... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 25.00
Return visits/violation compliance visits:
First returnlcompliance visit ......................... No Charge
Subsequent visits ........................... Regular hourly rate
Inspection Cap ........................... NTE $500.00 (per inspection period)
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
FAILED TO APPROVE by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this lIth day
of September, 1995.
