CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. R?-,)?
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY HANAGER
OF THE CITY OF SEWARD TO PURCHASE A USED VEHICLE
FOR THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, there is a need for a vehicle for the Project
Engineer on the Electric Utility Extension Project; and
WHEREAS, it is more economical if this vehicle
be furnished by the City and;
WHEREAS, the price of a new vehicle of the type
required by the City would be in excess of $11,000; and
WHEREAS, a used vehicle may be purchased for $7,355.;
and
WHEREAS, Section 10-8 (f) of the City Code provides
for the purchase of used equipment in order to achieve
savings and economy.
NOW, THERE BE IS RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase a
used Chevrolet Blazer Four-Wheel drive for the City Engineer
at a price not to exceed SEVEN THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED FIFTY
FIVE AND NO/lOOTHS DOLLARS ($7,355.00)
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, this --L2____day of July , 1982.
