BOOK 5/ PAGEQ"7 .eward Recording District Sponsored by: Schaefermeyer CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 88-086 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, DEDICATING THE NASH ROAD EXTENSION AS A PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY WHEREAS, grant funds to Fourth of July in 1980, the city of Seward received state construct an extension of Nash Road into the Creek Valley proposed industrial area; and WHEREAS, the Nash Road Extension was completed and dedicated in September 1981; and WHEREAS, the extension was constructed to state of Alaska secondary highway standards and is maintained on a year-round basis; and WHEREAS, the Fourth of July Creek Industrial Area is the site of the Spring Creek Correctional Facility, the Seward Marine Industrial Center, the Chugach Development Corporation wood products site, and many acres of still to be developed industrial land; and WHEREAS, the city of Seward owns or has for the property through which the Nash passes; and permits on hand Road Extension WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the Nash Road Extension be dedicated as a public right of way; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: Section 1. THE NASH ROAD EXTENSION IS HEREBY DEDICATED AS A PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY, and the "as-built" construction plans, including rights of way mapping, are available at the Seward City Hall for public review. Section 2. The Nash Road Extension passes through the following described lands: Government Lot 3, Section 1, TIS, RIW, SM - Private lands acquired by the city of Seward (Book 31, Page 124 and Book 31, Page 229); SE~NE~ and Government Lot 4, Section 1, TIS, R1W, SM - Private lands acquired by the city of Seward (Book 31, Page 120 and Book 31, Page 232); -l- . . . . .BOOK~_PAGE 6~_~: Seward RecorciinS Di5tnct CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 88-086 W~SW~ Section 6, TIS, R1E, SM Forest Special Use Permit 1006.04, dated 9, 1980, issued to the city of Seward for road - Lands now tentatively approved for to the state of Alaska; national December a public transfer NW~ Section 7, TIS, R1E, SM, and NE~ Section 12, TIS, RIW, SM - Alaska State Land Survey 77-69, Plat No. 76-69 - Lands acquired by the city of Seward from the Kenai peninsula Borough (Book 51, Page 300); E~ Section 7, TlS, R1W, SM, USS 4828 - Lands acquired by the city of Seward from the State of Alaska (Book 23, Page 956); NW~ Section 18, TIS, R1E, SM, USS 1651 Easement granted to the city of Seward for road and utility purposes (Book 23, Page 867); and SW~ Section 18, T1S, RIE, SM, USS 2827 Lands acquired by the city of Seward from the state of Alaska (Book 23, Page 956). Section 3. Seward Recording Alaska. All referenced recordings are found in the District, Third Judicial District, state of Section 4. This resolution shall, upon approval, be recorded in the Seward Recording District, Third Judicial District, state of Alaska, as a matter of public record. Section 5.
