CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-089
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, REAPPROPRIATING FUNDS AND AWARDING
A CONTRACT FOR FIRE HALL ROOF REPLACEMENT
WHEREAS, on February 22, 1988, the City
proved Resolution No. 88-019, appropriating
replacement of the Fire Hall roof; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 10-8 of the Seward
City Code, the city advertised for bids for replacement of
the Fire Hall roof; and
WHEREAS, peninsula Roofing submitted the only bid and
that bid exceeded the funds appropriated for the project;
and
WHEREAS, through negotiations with the contractor, the
city has reached an agreement that the project will be
completed for the lump sum price of $32,500; and
WHEREAS, the funds appropriated earlier this year will
lapse unexpended on June 30, 1988;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section I.

The sum of $35,000 is hereby appropriated
Fund Fund Balance to Fire Department Fund
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute a
contract with Peninsula Roofing Company in the amount of
$32,500 for replacement of the Fire Hall roof.
Section 3.
1988.
This resolution shall take effect July 1,
