CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-093
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A SHORT TERl1 LEASE OF CITY
PROPERTY TO B & R, INC., DBA B & R ENVIRONMENTAL,
FOR STORAGE OF CONTAINER VANS
WHEREAS, B & R, Inc., dba B & R Environmental, has need
of a temporary storage area for container vans awaiting
transport by Alaska Cargo Transport barge from the city 's
Fourth Avenue Dock; and
WHEREAS, the city has vacant, idle land within Lot 16,
Seward Industrial Park, that is available for such use; and
WHEREAS, the City Code allows for the short term lease
of city property without benefit of public hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized to
enter into a short term lease agreement, not to exceed one
hundred twenty (120) days, with B & R Inc., dba B & R
Environmental, for the storage of approximately thirty (30)
container vans on a portion of Lot 16, Seward Industrial
Park Subdivision.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, this -12- day of July 1988
