CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-095
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF COMPUTER
EQUIPMENT FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
AND WAIVING FORMAL BID PROCEDURES
WHEREAS, the FY 1989 city budget
personal computer system for the
Department; and
includes funding for a
Community Development
WHEREAS, it is advantageous and sound practice to have
all computer systems within an organization be compatible
with one another to facilitate cross training of personnel,
to provide equipment backup and to allow for networking of
information; and
WHEREAS, the Compaq brand computer and NEC monitors are
in general use by the city administration and these machines
are certain to remain compatible with any future city
computer purchases; and
WHEREAS,
price for a

price researching has shown that a package
computer/monitor system from Bulldog Computer
Martinez, Georgia, offers the best available

would not be economically advantageous to the city;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:

Martinez, Georgia, for the purchase of one Compaq Deskpro
386 personal computer and an NEC Mul tisync monitor in an
amount not to exceed Seven Thousand Five Hundred Forty-Seven
Dollars ($7,547.00).
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
