CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-123
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF THE 1987
KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH SPECIAL CENSUS AND SETTING
THE POPULATION OF THE CITY OF SEWARD
WHEREAS, in January 1987, the Kenai Peninsula Borough
completed a borough-wide special census in which the city of
Seward's population was estimated to be 2,400; and
WHEREAS, this census
population projections in
Plan; and
appears to adequately reflect
the 1985 Seward Comprehensive
WHEREAS, all indicators such as building permits,
utility connections, school enrollment and sales tax reve-
nues continue to support established population projections;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The 1987 Kenai Peninsula Borough Special
Census is hereby adopted.
Section 2. Based on the above referenced Special
Census, the population of the city of Seward is determined
to be 2,400.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
