CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-132 (Substitute)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, MJARDING A CONTRACT FOR
BANKING SERVICES
WHEREAS, the city's eighteen-month contract with First
National Bank of Anchorage for banking services expires
December 31, 1988; and
WHEREAS, the city has issued a request for proposals
for banking services for a two-year period beginning January
1, 1989; and
WHEREAS, both the First National Bank of Anchorage and
National Bank of Alaska submitted responses to the RFP; and
'\oJHEREAS, although National Bank of Alaska's proposal
offers a lower compensating balance, the apparent advantage
of the higher interest rates offered by First National Bank
of Anchorage on overnight investments makes the FNBA
proposal more attractive to the city;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city manager is hereby authorized to
execute an agreement for banking services with First
National Bank of Anchorage in accordance with the terms set
forth in its proposal dated November 30, 1988.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect January
1, 1989.
