CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 88-133
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH
PRICE WATERHOUSE TO ASSESS THE CITY'S COMPUTER NEEDS
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the need for
an independent consultant to assess the city's overall
computer needs prior to purchasing a new computer system;
and
WHEREAS, contracts for professional services are exempt
from the bid procedures set forth in the City Code; and
WHEREAS, two firms have submitted proposals to furnish
a computer needs assessment for the city; and
WHEREAS, the proposal submitted by Price Waterhouse
contains the lowest bid price and has been determined to be
the most responsive to the city's informal request for
proposals to provide the needs assessment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute a contract with Price Waterhouse to conduct a data
processing alternatives analysis for the city of Seward for
a fee not to exceed $4,800, plus travel and miscellaneous
expenses, provided that the final proj ect report shall be
available for presentation to the City Council at its
January 9, 1989, meeting.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
