CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-003 (Substitute)
OF
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE OF A NOTICE
OF INTENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE
OF CERTAIN VEHICLES
WHEREAS, a request for bids to purchase various vehicles
was publicly advertised; and
WHEREAS, the bid documents stated that award of a purchase
contract would be subject to funding; and
WHEREAS, Peninsula Ford of Seward submi tted a bid which
was higher than the low bid but within the local bidder
preference provided under section 6.05.010 (C) of the Seward
city Code;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a
Notice of Intent to award a purchase contract to Peninsula Ford
of Seward for the purchase of five (5) vehicles, including two
(2) police vehicles, one three-quarter ton 4x4 pickup, and two
(2) one ton all wheel drive trucks, for an amount not to exceed
Eighty Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-Four Dollars ($80,844.00).
Section 2. Execution of the purchase contract shall be
subject to the approval and receipt of funding by the city
Council. Nothing in this resolution or the Notice of Intent to
award shall obligate the City Council to approve such funding.
section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.

SEWARD, ALASKA, this 9 day of January , 1989.
