CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO 89-004 (Substitute)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE OF
A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR THE
PURCHASE OF CERTAIN EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, a request for proposals to provide certain
equipment for the city was publicly advertised~ and
WHEREAS, of the three firms responding to the RFP, N. C.
Machinery, Inc., submitted the proposal with the lowest
combined price for the three pieces of equipment~
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city Manager is authorized to execute a
Notice of Intent to award a purchase contract to N. C.
Machinery, Inc., for the purchase of one 1980 966G loader, one
1988 D6D tractor with 90% undercarriage, and one 1982 140G
grader, as per specifications, for a total price not to exceed
Two Hundred Fifty-TwO Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($252,500.00).
Section 2. Execution of the purchase contract shall be
subject to the approval and receipt of funding by the city
Council. Nothing in this resolution or the Notice of Intent to
award shall obligate the City Council to approve such funding.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, this 9 day of Januarv , 1989.
