RESOLUTION NO. 95-114
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING THE EXTENSION OF
A SPECIAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR DISPATCH, TELEPHONE
ANSWERING AND CLERICAL SERVICES FOR ALASKA STATE TROOPERS
WHEREAS, the city traditionally has had a contractual agreement with the Alaska
Department of Public Safety to provide dispatch services and clerical support to the state troopers
stationed in Seward; and
WHEREAS, due to budget cuts and declining revenues, the State has asked that the terms
ofthe FY 1995 contract be extended through August 31, 1995; and
WHEREAS, the extension will give the State an opportunity to assess the need for a special
services contract and to determine the level of service being provided by the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized and directed to sign the Special Services Contract
extension between the City and the Alaska Department of Public Safety to provide dispatch and
clerical support for the Alaska State Troopers in Seward through August 31, 1995, for an additional
contract amount to be paid to the City of$8,033.33.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 25th
day of September, 1995.
