CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-023
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, DESIGNATING CITY MANAGER B. MAX
ROYLE AS THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE RELATIVE
TO THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT THROUGH THE ALASKA
SURPLUS PROPERTY SERVICE
WHEREAS, the city of Seward wishes to maintain its
eligibility to submit bids and purchase equipment from the
Alaska Surplus Property Service; and
WHEREAS, the Alaska Surplus Property Service requires
periodic updating of eligibility applications and the
designation of authorized representatives;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The duly authorized governing body of the
city of Seward, Alaska, having taken the matter into full
consideration and having determined by the required vote, as
witnessed by the passage of this resolution, does hereby
designate Seward City Manager B. Max Royle as the authorized
representative of the aforementioned institution, specif-
ically as required for the purchase of equipment through the
Alaska Surplus Property Service.
Section 2. Be it further resolved that B. Max Royle is
hereby authorized to bind the institution to the particular
terms and conditions of transfer which are or may be imposed
by the execution of the Form SF-123 or the Surplus Property
Service Distribution Document.
Section 3. And, be it further resolved that B. Max
Royle is moreover empowered to delegate the authority
imposed upon him to such people as he considers reasonably
necessary to accomplish these purposes. He is hereby
instructed to confer upon the people designated by him such
authority as is necessary relative to bid and purchase
requirements of the Alaska Surplus Property Service.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, this 28th day of March 1989
