Sponsored by: Rovle CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 89-033 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR PARK BEAUTIFICATION AND IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS WHEREAS, the City Council has delegated the operations of campground management to the Parks and Recreation Department for the purpose of acquiring revenues for park improvement and beautification projects~ and WHEREAS, the city desires to make immediate improvements to public parks and camping areas for this year's tourist season in order to improve the image of public park properties and thereby display the city as an attractive place to visit and live~ and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to provide leadership and support in city-wide beautification efforts sponsored by other community groups~ and WHEREAS, the city anticipates the realization of a margin of profit from the collection of camping fees this season~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: section 1. The sum of $10,500.00 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund Fund Balance to the Parks and Recreation Depart- ment budget for the purpose of park beautification and improvement projects to be implemented this season, and the budgets are amended accordingly. Section 2. Campground fees collected by Parks and Recreation Department management operations shall be used to reimburse the General Fund Fund Balance for the expenditures involved in such beautification and improvement projects. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 24th day of April, 1989.
