CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO.85-70
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, the City has received its
appropriated by SLA 84, Chapter 171, totalling
Road Maintenance Service Area; and

$21,802, for the Local
WHEREAS, the City will receive an additional appropriation for
Fiscal Year 1985 totalling $7,649; and
WHEREAS, the City must provide matching funds as a requirement
under the grant; and
WHEREAS, the City has accumulated an additional $58,621 under
the Local Service Roads and Trails Program; and
WHEREAS, the City's 1985 Local Service Roads
Program has scheduled improvements to Ballaine Boulevard
priority for a total estimated cost of $114,000; and

WHEREAS, prior to rece~v~ng funding approval under this
program the City must execute a Transfer of Responsibility Agreement
(TORA) with the State Department of Transportation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept a Road
Maintenance Service Area grant from the State of Alaska totalling
$21,802, as appropriated by SLA 84, Chapter 171, said funds to be
appropriated to the 1985 Street Improvement Project Account No. 214000.
