CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-047
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE RATES FOR
SEWER CHARGES COMMENCING JULY 1, 1989
WHEREAS, Title 14, section 14.01.040, of the Seward City Code
requires that sewer rates and charges be set by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the rates set by Resolution No. 84-069 did not
address large metered sewerage generators, and established rates
are not reasonable for large generators; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish a rate that is ap-
plicable to the Spring Creek Correctional Center which is now fully
operational;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:

84-069 is hereby amended by

The quantity of sewage will be metered by metering the
quantity of water consumed by the user, except that if the
user desires, a sewage meter may be installed at the user's
expense by the city in a single location to measure all sewage
generated by the user.
section 2. The rates set forth in this resolution shall take
effect July 1, 1989.
