CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-049
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
ELECTRIC METER READING
WHEREAS, S & G Enterprises has requested release from the
current electric meter reading contract effective June 1, 1989; and
WHEREAS, requests for proposals for contracted meter reading
were advertised and three proposals were received; and
WHEREAS, Seward Construction Services was the lowest respon-
sive bidder; and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds that the proposal of
Seward Construction Services is reasonable and that acceptance of
that proposal is in the public interest.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The proposal submitted by Seward Construction
Services for electric meter reading services within the Seward
Electrical Service area for the period beginning June 1, 1989, and
ending June 30, 1990, is hereby accepted and the contract for such
service is hereby awarded to Seward Construction Services.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
the contract for such services, a copy of which is attached and
incorporated herein by reference, on behalf of the city of Seward.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 22nd day of May, 1989.
