CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-051
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR
REPAIR OF THE SYNCROLIFT
WHEREAS, the 106' tug, "Sea Ranger" fell from its blocking on
April 5, 1989; and
WHEREAS, the syncrolift platform sustained sufficient damage
to prohibit use of half of its capacity; and
WHEREAS, the city has suffered loss in revenue due to its
diminished capacity; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
section 1. It is in the public interest to appropriate the
sum of $202,000 from the Harbor Fund Fund Balance Account No. 401-
000-271-000 to the SMIC Operating Budget Maintenance and Repairs
Account No. 417-411-561-30-38 to expedite repairs to the syncro-
lift.
