CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-053
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING FUNDING FROM
THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH FOR UPDATE OF THE
SEWARD COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
WHEREAS, the city completed and the Kenai Peninsula Borough
adopted the present Seward Comprehensive Plan in 1985; and
WHEREAS, the 1985 plan included a recommendation that funding
should be sought for an update of the plan by 1988; and
WHEREAS, the city did request funding from the Kenai Peninsula
Borough for funding assistance to update the Seward Comprehensive
Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Kenai peninsula Borough has provided FY89 funds
to be applied toward an update of the Seward Comprehensive Plan;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a
Transfer of Responsibilities Agreement attached and herewith made
a part of this resolution by reference accepting funding from the
Kenai Peninsula Borough for an update of the Seward Comprehensive
Plan.
Section 2. Funds accepted will be placed in special revenue
fund 142-368.07 with expenses to be charged to account 142-115-516-
10-xx.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 12th day of June, 1989.
