CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 85-71
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR LITTER CONTROL
AND CITY BEAUTIFICATION
WHEREAS, the City has received a grant totalling $2500 from
the State through the Youth Employment Service (YES) for the purpose of
hiring local teenagers to perform litter control and City beautifica-
tion; and
WHEREAS, an additional $2500 will be needed to complete the
litter control project; and
WHEREAS, this program will be organized and administered by
the Teen Center;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept a grant
from the State of Alaska totalling $2500 and to appropriate said funds
into the Teen Litter Control Project Account No. 215000.
Section 2. The City Manager is further authorized to appro-
priate an additional $2500 from the General Fund-Fund Balance Account
No. 101-000-271-00-00 to the Teen Litter Control Project Account No.
215000, bringing the total budgeted project amount to $5000.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
