RESOLUTION NO. 85-75
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF CAPITAL
PROJECT ACCOUNT NUMBER 213 FOR A DIGITAL MAPPING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, there remains a balance of $44,859.49 in the FY85
Operating Budget General Fund Account No. 110-115-516-13-39 for base
mapping and $45,140.51 in General Fund Account No. 110-115-516-10-39 for
contracted platting service; and
WHEREAS, due to time constraints and land acquisition prob-
lems, neither budgeted project will be accomplished in FY85; and
WHEREAS, on July 1, 1985, these funds will have lapsed into
the General Fund-Fund Balance and the Federal Shared Revenue Trust
Account; and
WHEREAS, funds have not been appropriated in the FY86 budget
for a mapping project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward is in need of a reliable and
accurate mapping system to accommodate the projected influx of building,
platting, replatting, surveys and planning that will result from future
economic development; and
WHEREAS, a digital mapping program involving the establishment
of a random survey monumentation control network, ground truthed aerial
photography and digitized base mapping will establish a control base for
all future mapping in Seward;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to transfer
$44,859.41 from General Fund Account No. 110-115-516-13-39 and
$45,140.51 from General Fund Account No. 110-115-516-10-39, for a total
of $90,000.00, to the Digital Mapping Program Capital Project Account
No. 213000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect July 1, 1985.
