CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 95-120
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR
LmRARY RENOVATIONS TO ACCOMMODATE A TEMPORARY
YOUTH CENTER
WHEREAS, several Fire Code upgrades along with safety and security improvements were
required prior to occupancy of the library basement by youth attending the temporary youth center;
and
WHEREAS, the expenses associated with the upgrades and repairs have depleted the
operating budget for the Youth Center program for FY 1996; and
WHEREAS, SAAMS has donated $35,000 to fund the costs involved in relocating the Youth
Center program; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate funds from the Parks and Recreation Events
Sponsorship Account which contains the $35,000 in order to reimburse the Youth Center operating
budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Funds in the amount of$9,500 are hereby appropriated from the General Fund
Parks and Recreation Events Sponsorship Account No. 101-0000-2040-0230 to Youth Center
Expenses, Account No. 101-1430-XXXX to be distributed as follows:

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 25th
day of September, 1995.
