RESOLUTION NO. 85-94
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING A REQUEST TO ASSUME THE
RESPONSIBILITY FOR MAKING IMPROVEMENTS TO THE FOURTH
AVENUE DOCK
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska, Department of Transportation and
Public Facilities, received an appropriation to make dock improvements
to the Fourth Avenue Dock; and
Seward;
WHEREAS, the Fourth Avenue Dock is owned by the City of
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply to
the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (herein-
after referred to as "Department") on behalf of the City of Seward for
ONE HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED AND NO/100THS DOLLARS
($147,500.00) which was appropriated to the Department in Chapter 96,
SLA 85, Page 21, Line 18, for making improvements to the Fourth Avenue
Dock.
Section 2. The City Manager is further authorized to act on
behalf of the City of Seward to enter into an Agreement with the Depart-
ment to transfer the responsibility for the accomplishment of the
project from the Department to the City of Seward.
Section 3. The City Manager is also authorized to execute any
subsequent amendments to said Agreement based on the needs of the
proj ect.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption,
