CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 85-100
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPOINTING AN ACTING CITY CLERK
WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution 85-91 the City of
Seward is prepared to execute various documents regarding the Spring
Creek Correctional Facility including but not limited to an Agreement of
Lease, a Trust Indenture and Assignment of Lease; and
WHEREAS, execution
regarding the above matter is
in the City of New York; and
of documents by the City of Seward
presently scheduled for October 15 and 16
WHEREAS, the City Clerk is presently out of the United States
and is not expected to return to the City of Seward until October 22,
1985 and for that reason is unavailable to attend to the execution of
documents with regard to the above-referenced matter; and
WHEREAS, the presence of the Deputy City Clerk in Seward,
Alaska, is necessary to assure the smooth functioning and operation of
City government and for that reason the Deputy City Clerk is unavailable
to attend to the execution of documents with regard to the
above-referenced matter; and
WHEREAS, Robert Peirson, Comptroller for the City of Seward is a
responsible individual familiar with the above-referenced matter and
available to attend to the execution of documents as referenced above;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Robert Peirson is hereby appointed Acting City
Clerk for the City of Seward, Alaska, from the date of this Resolution
until 8:00 A.M., Alaska Standard Time, October 21, 1985.
Section 2. Robert Peirson is authorized to proceed as Acting
City Clerk and to execute all documents, make all representations and do
all things as City Clerk that may be necessary and proper to complete
and finalize the above-referenced matter and transaction.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
