CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 95-122
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF LOTS 2 & 5,
BLOCK 7, OCEANVIEW SUBDIVISION, BY SEALED BID
WHEREAS, the City's Municipal Lands Management Plan recommends that Lots 2 and 5,
Block 7, Oceanview Subdivision, be retained in City ownership; and
WHEREAS, on May 8, 1995, after considering a request to lease Lot 2, the City Council
determined that the lot was actually surplus to the City's present and future needs and directed the
City Manager to prepare a request for proposals for the disposal of Lot 2, Block 7, Oceanview
Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the administration that the City Council also
authorize the disposal of adjacent Lot 5, Block 7, Oceanview Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now finds that both Lot 2 and Lot 5, Block 7, Oceanview
Subdivision are surplus to the City's needs and that it is in the public interest to dispose of the lots
by sealed bid; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Seward City Code Chapter 7.05, Article 3, the City Council
conducted a properly noticed public hearing on a proposal to offer the lots for sale by sealed bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell Lots 2 and 5, Block
7, Oceanview Subdivision, by sealed bid in accordance with Seward City Code Chapter 7.05, Article
3 on the terms stated in the Invitation to Bid presented at this meeting.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect 30 days after passage and posting as required by
law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 9th day
of October, 1995.
