RESOLUTION NO. 85-l03
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, SETTING RATES AND CHARGES FOR WATER
SERVICE FOR THE PERIOD COMMENCING OCTOBER 15, 1985
WHEREAS, Section 22.10.050 of the Seward City Code requires
that water rates and charges shall be fixed by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward established rates for water use by
adopting Resolution No. 84-68; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 84-68, Section 1, Paragraph D, sets
the rate for water supplied to ships at $200.00 per fill-up and $1.50
per 1000 gallons in excess of lOO,OOO gallons; and
WHEREAS, the method of charging for water supplied to vessels
is not reasonable for smaller craft taking on several thousand gallons
of water and the City of Seward wishes to revise those rates;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section l. A schedule of water rates and charges shall be
established by class as follows:
A. Residential or domestic service within the City limits of
Seward, Alaska:
1. Single residence ---------------------- $16.00/month
2. Duplex in one building
treated as two residences ----------- 32.00/month
B. Commercial service within the City limits of Seward,
Alaska:

water service is billed to and
paid by one customer whether the
entire service is used or not -------
