CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 95-124
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, RATIFYING HEALTH CARE CONSULTANTS
CONTRACTS AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, on September 25, 1995, the City Council authorized the City Manager to enter
into agreements for consulting services with Alaska Health Care Management Services and Rural
Health Financial Services to develop a process for community education with regards to health care
issues and to develop a strategy to carry out recommended changes in health care and health care
delivery systems within the City; and
WHEREAS, this authorization was subject to ratification by the Council at the October 9,
1995, meeting and appropriation of funds to cover the costs of the contracts; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has executed an agreement with Alaska Health Care
Management Services in an amount not to exceed $18,375 for overall project management of the
education process; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has entered into an agreement with Rural Health Financial
Services in an amount not to exceed $15,000 to assist with financial projections and business
planning;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The contracts with Alaska Health Care Management Systems and Rural Financial
Health Services as set forth above are hereby ratified.
Section 2. The sum of$33,375 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund Fund Balance
Account No. 101-3050-0000, to the General Services Department Contract Services Account No.
101-1180-5390.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe city of Seward, Alaska, this 9th day
of October, 1995.
