CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-062
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, GRANTING AN ENCROACHMENT PERMIT
TO BRAD SNOWDEN, DBA NEW SEWARD HOTEL AND SALOON,
FOR THE INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF STREET LAMPS
WHEREAS, the Brad Snowden, dba New Seward Hotel and Saloon,
hereinafter referred to as HOTEL, has newly remodeled the lobby and
reception area in conjunction with expansion of hotel operations
in Seward; and
WHEREAS, the HOTEL desires to place ornamental street lamps
on the public sidewalk adjacent to its property; and
WHEREAS, the city does not object to the placement of lamps
in the public right-of-way provided that precautions are taken to
protect the public and assure proper maintenance and safety;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Brad Snowden, dba New Seward Hotel and Saloon, is
hereby granted an encroachment permit for the installation and
operation of two ornamental street lights in the public right-of-
way adjacent to Lots 8-16, Block 9, Original Townsite of Seward.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 12th day of June, 1989.
