CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 89-068
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE
SMALL BOAT HARBOR TRANSFER OF RESPONSIBILITIES
AGREEMENT NO. K78405/53775 BETWEEN THE CITY AND
THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION & PUBLIC FACILITIES
WHEREAS, on August 29, 1983, the city and the State Department
of Transportation and Public Facilities entered into a Transfer of
Responsibilities Agreement for the purpose of Seward Small Boat
Harbor Expansion (TORA 4K78405/53775); and
WHEREAS, on May 22, 1989, the City Council approved Resolution
No. 89-050, prioritizing needed improvements in the Seward Boat
Harbor and identifying those which it wished to complete utilizing
state funds available under the above cited TORA; and
WHEREAS, DOT/PF has agreed to modify the terms of the TORA to
allow funding of the improvements identified in city of Seward
Resolution No. 89-050;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city manager is authorized to execute
Amendment No. 1 to the SBH-TORA iK78405/53775, a copy of which is
attached and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 12th day of June, 1989.

DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC FACILITIES
AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO THE
TRANSFER OF RESPONSIBILITIES AGREEMENT
The Transfer of Responsibilities Agreement, effective the 29 day of August,
1983, between the State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public
Facilities and the City of Seward for the purpose of Seward Boat Harbor
Expansion is hereby amended as follows:
Delete Appendix A
Add Appendix B
(1) Upgrade and expand travel lift capacity, move the travel lift
facility from Small Boat Harbor to SMIC.
(2) Construction Dry Boat Storage area in SMIC and provide for
utilities, fuel, water and security system.
(3) Pave two 30 day parking lots serving the Small Boat Harbor.
(4) Extend to deepwater the face of the city dock in the Small Boat
Harbor and close the lift dock.
These projects will be accomplished as funding allows,
All other provisions of the original Agreement, as amended, remain in force.
