RESOLUTION NO. 86-27
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRAcr FOR REPAIR AND
UPGRADE OF THE SMALL BOAT HARBOR BOAT LAUNCH RAMP AND
APPROVING A BUDGEI' FOR THE PROJOCT
WHEREAS, the City of Seward advertised publicly for bids to
repair and upgrade the Small Boat Harbor boat launch rarrp; and
WHEREAS, two bids were received for the bid opening at 8: 30
a.m. on Friday, March 21, 1986; and
WHEREAS, the low bid was submitted by Wells-Built Hones, Inc.,
for the lump sum amount of $89,500.00; and
WHEREAS, Wells-Built Hones, Inc., has been determined to be
the lCJlVest responsive and responsible bidder;
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SE\f.7ARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The =ntract for repair and upgrade of the Small
Boat Harbor boat launch rarrp is hereby awarded to Wells-Built Homes,
Inc., in the amount of $89,500.00.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to establish a
special ac=unt for the proj ect to include the contract amount of
$89,500.00, plus $26,040.00 for City administration, City-supplied
materials and =ntingency, for a total project amount not to exceed
$115,540.00.
Section 3. The City Manager is further authorized to transfer
the sum of $115,540.00 fran the Harbor Reserve Ac=unt to the Boat
Launch Rarrp Upgrade Special Project Ac=unt No. 218000.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
