RESOLUTION NO. 86 - 28
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN
AND SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE OCONCMIC DEVELOPMENT
ADMINISTRATION FOR A GRANT TO INSTALL RAILS AND CRADLES
AT THE SEWARD MARINE INDUSTRIAL CENTER
WHEREAS, the Seward Marine Industrial Center's rails and
cradles project has been endorsed by the Kenai Peninsula Borough Re-
source Developrrent Corrrnission, acting in its official capacity as the
Overall Economic Developrrent Program Corrrnittee, as the mnnber one
priority project rec()!l'[lEnded for public works funding fran the Federal
Economic Developrent Administration; and
WHEREAS, the Economic Developrent Administration, on the basis
of a pre-application filed by the City, has authorized the City to
submit a formal application to the EDA for $600,000 of funding to
construct boat cradles and transfer rails at the SMIC;
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to sign and submit
an application to the E=nomic Developrrent Administration for $600,000
of funding to =nstruction boat cradles and transfer rails at the SMIC.
Section 2. THis resolution shall take effect imrediately upon
its adoption.
