RESOLUTION NO. 84-97
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCY ACCOUNT TO THE PUBLIC
WORKS DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF
TRASH RECEPTACLES FOR DOWNTOWN SEWARD
WHEREAS, the City Council has long been an advocate of litter
control within the City of Seward; and
WHEREAS, many of the side street trash receptacles in the
downtown area are in a state of disrepair; and
WHEREAS, some areas of the downtown district are in need of
additional trash receptacles;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $2,500 is hereby transferred from the
Council Contingency Account No. 101-111-511-10-69 to the Street Depart-
ment Equipment Account No. 101-131-532-10-93.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby instructed to purchase
needed trash receptacles to supplement and/or replace existing recepta-
cles in the downtown area.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
