RESOLUTION NO. 84-103
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER TO WESTERN UTILITIES SUPPLY
COMPANY FOR MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR THE
DAIRY HILL UTILITY EXPANSION
WHEREAS, Dane's General Contracting has been contracted to install
a 16 inch water transmission main for the Dairy Hill Fire Loop project;
and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer is recommending that the water
distribution system for Cliff Addition be completed during this year
while Dane's General Contracting is presently working on the site in
order to cut down on mobilization costs; and
WHEREAS, Western Utilities Supply Company is the supplier of the
other materials on the Dairy Hill Fire Loop project and provided a quote
for the prices for all materials needed to complete the Cliff Addition
Utility Expansion; and
WHEREAS, an amendment to the original p1p1ng materials purchase
order would be necessary to provide for the delivery charges of extra
pipe; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds for completion of this project are
available in Dairy Hill 16 inch Fire Loop Fund 284000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a
purchase order to Western Utilities Supply Company of Anchorage for
piping materials for the Dairy Hill Utility Expansion project in the
amount of $28,865.06 and amend Purchase Order No.9955 for extra piping
materials delivery charges in the amount of $331.90.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
