RESOLUTION NO.
82-65
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SURCHARGE
FOR ELECTRIC POWER RATES
WHEREAS, Chapter 22.10.050 of the Seward City Code requires
that electrical rates shall be fixed by resolution; and
WHEREAS, Chugach Electric Association (CEA) has and continues
to raise the wholesale electric rate to the City of Seward; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward is presently billed by CEA at the
rate of.022983~ per KWH; and
WHEREAS, the present electric
electric customers of the City of
above-referenced CEA increase; and

WHEREAS, the APUC has further authorized CEA to make a second
wholesale rate adjustment which may be imposed within the year; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be necessary and in the best interest
of the City of Seward to impose a surcharge to directly pass CEA
wholesale electric rate increases through to the retail customer in the
exact amount of each wholesale rate increase;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, THAT:
