RESOLUTION NO. 82-75
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL FUND SURPLUS ACCOUNT TO THE GATEWAY
SUBDIVISION SPECIAL PROJECT ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, there are surplus funds available in the General
Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Council directs the City Manager to enter
into a contract with Century/Quadra JV for Phase II Engineering and
Design for the Gateway Subdivision (formerly Terminal Addition), for an
amount not to exceed ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED
SEVENTY DOLLARS ($171,270) on November 19, 1981; the estimated balance
of which was ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SIXTY THREE
DOLLARS ($122,263) as of July 1, 1982; and

WHEREAS, the City Council has approved in concept the clearing
of the right of ways in the Gateway Subdivision as a logical next step
in the subdivision development; and
WHEREAS, Century/Quadra JV has estimated a net increase of
ELEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($11,500) in the Phase II
Engineering and Design Contract for preparation of the right of way
clearing contract and bid documents; and
is FIFTY
including
WHEREAS, the engineers estimate for the right of way clearing
TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-EIGHT DOLLARS ($52,258),
contingency, inspection and administration costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY-SIX THOUSAND AND
TWENTY-ONE DOLLARS ($186,021) is hereby appropriated from the General
Fund Surplus Account 101-000-271-00-00 to the Gateway Subdivision
Special Project Account No. 225000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
