CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 82-76
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR RIGHT OF WAY CLEARING IN THE
GATEWAY SUBDIVISION, TO METCO, INC.
WHEREAS, the Right of Way Clearing, a part of the continuing
development of the Gateway Subdivision, was advertised for public bid;
and
WHEREAS, a prebid conference was held in City Hall on
September 23, 1982; and
WHEREAS, a bid was submitted by one contractor and was opened
on October 1, 1982; and
WHEREAS, Metco, Inc., is the apparent low bidder with a bid of
THIRTY-THREE THOUSAND ONE HINDRED DOLLARS ($33,100); and
reviewed
that the
WHEREAS, engineers employed by
the bid documents submitted by the
contract be awarded to Metco, Inc.;
the City of Seward have
bidder and have recommended
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has appropriated funds to cover the
costs of the contract, including inspection, administration and
engineering;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. An award of the contract for Gateway Subdivision
Right of Way Clearing, is hereby made to Metco, Inc. for a price not to
exceed THIRTY-THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($33,100).
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized and instructed to
enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Seward, with Metco, Inc.,
in accordance with the bid documents.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 11 day of October ,1982.
